Problems of eating disorders have been increasing worldwide in the past decades. These problems affect people of all ages and gender in various cultures and communities. For example, the problems of anorexia, bulimia and obesity have become prevalent around the globe.
These disorders comes with it social, psychological and physical problems. Problems of obesity come with various complications including long term/chronic disorders with their various co-morbidity matters.
There have been needs to investigate these problems and find ways to develop and implement guidelines for dealing with these issues. To this end the International Association of Health Care Professionals (IAHCP) Eating Disorders Project Group looks into the issues of eating disorders and investigates the best ways to deal with the various problems. The Group are also developing the guidelines on managing eating Disorders in the Community.
The Project Group Members
Dr Fairlop is a medical researcher who specialises in the treatment of eating disorders in the Community.
Dr Watson is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in the Counselling of patients with eating disorders.

John Bellamy is a Nutritionist who has special interest in the prevention of obesity I adults and children. He also has professional interest in anorexia nervosa.
